April 28, 20197 yr Community Expert Run anther preclear cycle (or two) and see if both stay at zero. It seems to me, that usually if those sectors were truly defective/'bad', the 5-Reallocated_Sector_Ct attribute should have increased. But, remember, that SMART is not a true 'Spec'. All HD manufacturers use it today but they implement it differently so you can't really generalize. Edited April 28, 20197 yr by Frank1940
