Unable to proceed past 'install macOS High Sierra'

Featured Replies

Hi, I followed @SpaceInvaderOne's brilliant video on getting macOS High Sierra running as a VM. Except I can't get past the install screen. I've partitioned and formatted the disk as APFS, you then click install macOS and click continue but all that happens is the continue button becomes disabled. Same if you double click. Restarted many times and tried lots of different combos. I'm wondering if perhaps it's not seeing the disk, or it's seeing disks it's confused about, because the next screen is where you would select the disk to install to.

I originally posted this here but that appears not to be maintained:

How big is the disk you're using? I had the same issue with the greyed out continue button on my first try with a to small vdisk.

Hi @bastl 60G, @SpaceInvaderOne's video recommended 50G. I can try bigger thought. What size did you use?

I first used 30G. With 50G the install of High Sierra worked.
