[SOLVED] Sudden Jump in CPU Usage

Featured Replies

I've been dealing with multiple problems with my server over the past month or so. Everything was running smoothly until one day I went to update all my dockers as I have done a hundred times before but the update stalled out for some reason leaving me with some orphan docker containers. Per advice in other threads I removed the dockers and reinstalled via CA which seems to have worked fine.

Also ever since that failed docker update I have noticed my overall CPU usage is often pegged at 70%+ at idle which is very unusual and many of the cores (24 in total with HT) are pegged at 100%. In the past I hardly ever saw overall CPU usage go above 30% even when actively downloading files or streaming/transcoding via PLEX. I have 2x E5-2620 v1 CPUs which aren't amazing but I believe should be more than enough for my light usage.

I'm currently running unRAID 6.6.7. The GUI is slow and laggy and hangs often. The WebUIs for docker apps either take FOREVER to load or don't load at all. I'd really appreciate some help in figuring out what my server's issue is.

Currently installed dockers:

PLEX

Sonarr
Radarr
NZBGet

Well I messed around a bit more and think I figured out that my NZBGet docker was causing the issue. After completely erasing and reinstalling the NZBGet docker my CPU usage seems to be normal again and unRAID the UI is snappy just like it should be. Still not exactly sure *why* the sluggishness/high CPU usage started happening but at least I found a solution.
