October 15, 201015 yr So I managed to figure out how to quickly bend back the tabs so I can fit in the Icy Docks. The problem is I'm not sure if I'm supposed to screw the Icy Dock cage to the case. It's a tight fit and the Lian Li 50 has these tabs on the side with rubber that click on the outside of the cage to make it a tighter fit. The only way for me to screw in the Icy Dock to the case would be to remove these rubber tabs. Here's a pic, http://lian-li.com/v2/tw/product/upload/image/p50/p50-13s.jpg
October 15, 201015 yr A bit hard to tell from the pic, but those look like toolless units to me. I believe that the small metal posts should insert into the icydock's screw holes (though not actually thread). If that works, then no reason to screw in the icydock. Just play around with it until you feel comfortable that the units are secure.
October 15, 201015 yr Author Actually the more I looked at it I noticed that I could screw in the cage from the other side. I had slid the Icy Dock in too far so when I put the front cover back on, I realized I needed to slide the cage forward. Once I did that I found the screw holes on the other side.
October 16, 201015 yr Author Okay another question. On the Icy Dock back panel there's something there for the HDD Fail system as well as an S-OUT. What exactly am I supposed to plug into that? I haven't the slightest clue.
October 16, 201015 yr These connectors are provided for compatible RAID cards. I ignored them. Presumably it allows the RAID card to control HDD fail lights and monitor some of the hard drive characteristics.
