[Solved] Server turns of after hard drive spindown

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have just set up a Unraid server with the latest release.

Now to the Problem :

When all disks spin down (set to 30 minutes) the complete machine powers off immediately.

When the spindown is disabled everything looks fine.

Any idea where to start?

Regards,

Bjoern

Maybe some BIOS setting? Does it actually power off or is it just going to sleep?

Is the server connect to some sort of power saving plug? It might be set to high and detect the lower power as off and cut off power.

Sorry for the Lack of Update to this Problem.

It turns out that the Mainboard had an Issue. I tested the Mobo with a bare Metal Windows Server Installation and the Board shuts down as well when all Disk are inactive.

The Solution was to exchange the Mobo.
