hello im new to unraid ,i have set a i5 6600k (not oc,no turbo either) 4x4 gb 2133 ddr4 gskill 16CL

Mars MPII650 Gaming  psu and asus maximus hero VIII mobo. its have been power up for 7 days since i got the unraid pro key . i had 0 problems in my everyday use  and i got 1 hdd assigned to transmission outside of the array ,and 10 hdd from mixed sizes.

today when i arrived at home the server was powered off and i know it wasnt an AC failure (got an alarm conected to the wall so i can check )

i cant find any log from the error basically the server show logs only from the new "boot up"

how i can find the old logs to check the cause?

What version of Unraid?

There is syslog server capability builtin to the 6.7 release candidates which allows saving syslogs.

If you are using a stable release, 6.6.x or earlier, then the syslogs don't survive reboot, unless you use Troubleshooting Mode from the Fix Common Problems plugin.

Even if it wasn't AC power this time, you really should get an UPS for your server.

could it be something like s5 due to inactivity ? the array is checking the consistency just after the power up ,that show a bad power down or sudden power down isnt? the version is : 6.6.7

^That is the latest STABLE version.

You must install a 6.7.x Release Candidate to get the syslog server.

Or install Fix Common Problems plugin and use the Troubleshooting Mode.

If the array isn't stopped before shutdown then parity update might not have had a chance to complete, so you get a parity check the next boot.

Thank you for the reply. I upgraded to the RC as you suggested and enabled the syslog , so i will have the log the next time a sudden power down happens(lets hope never :). Also the syslog and new dashboard seems better ,i just would like to have a cpu temperature somewhere in the dashboard. I know is not a life or death feature to add, but some users like me who use the server mainly as streaming video platform or low power task machine have passive cooling radiators.

Anyways , if you can , close this thread and thanks for the info tips and help :)
