May 8, 20197 yr I've moved my UnRaid install to a Ryzen machine and since then I haven't been able to successfully reboot or shudown the server from the GUI or CL. The system goes though the motions of shutting down the array successfully, but the hardware never actually power cycles (or shuts down). Is this a motherboard/bios problem? Thoughts?
May 8, 20197 yr Community Expert Look in the logs directory on the boot drive and see if there are any syslogs-XXXXXXXX-XXXX.txt files. I know that I have them on my boot drives and they provide a capture of the current syslog towards the end of the shutdown/reboot process. What I can't remember, at this point, is whether are they now included as a function of the OS or whether the Fix Common Problems plugin generates them. You could also try to see if a quick push (~ 1 second) of the Power Button on the Computer case will shut the system down cleanly. A press of >5 Sec will force a shutdown. This will cause an 'unclean' shutdown of a running Unraid server which will trigger a Parity rebuild on the restart. Edited May 8, 20197 yr by Frank1940
