0 RPM Mode on an FE card using a different vBIOS

Hello unRAID community. I’ve heard of people flashing the BIOS of their Founder’s Edition 2080 Ti to that of an aftermarket vendor and being able to achieve 0 RPM while the card is idle. I plan on using a 2080 Ti Founder’s Edition card in a gaming VM in my server. I really like the way the card looks and the fact that it only uses two slots. What I don’t like is that the fans are always spinning. Since you can pass a GPU to a VM using a vBIOS file, if you used a vBIOS file from a different vendor if it would have the same effect as flashing to that BIOS?
