Is it possible to add MFT (Mellanox Firmware Tools) to the Unraid distribution ?  It helps greatly in getting all the 2nd hand Mellanox cards that are flooding the market working..

Looks like they only provide RPM or Deb packages, so unless they have a tarball that can be compiled from source, you may be out of luck.  Might be worht asking Mellanox

Basically BSD is a different operating system, based on Unix, but it is different to Linux

Not if you can find a pre-compiled binary for unraid's version of slackware.
