passthrough pci-e devices missing

So i am currently running unraid 6.7 (Trial) as testing it out for my needs

it seems to tick all the box's for me... but sometimes when i turn the machine on

i have a Win 10 VM set to autostart but sometimes it fails to start due to

my Thunderbolt 3 (USB) controller not showing and it complaining that the Device ID

can't be found and sure enough it does not show up under the devices on the VM

i have to reboot the machine enter the bios then exit bios then when the machine starts it

will start the VM this issue is quite annoying as i don't understand why it's not detected

with every power on

if anyone can spread any light on this would very much be appreciated :)

just shut the VM down and powered on again and still getting this error??? it's not finding the Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) Controller

it's not even being detected... this really is frustrating

i have been messing around and had issues with the Windows 10 VM not booting and crashing.... traced the fault to using e1000-82545em as the network adapter choice in Windows 10 VM XML file.... when it was set to virtio Windows 10 booted every single time no issues using Q35 3.0 / 3.1 so i just passed through the entire nic through to the VM Intel 1211AT no problems now

so the system passes the wife test

Turn it on and it works finally 😛
