Big Mike
Hi, I've lots of files called variations of: dup-acb8a0be-1ef2-45d2-83f9-2d785d443365 in the /mnt/user/ folder. The files tend to be either around 52MB or 100KB, and many have todays date. What are these files? Can they be deleted? Thanks Mike Quote Link to comment
itimpi
In normal operation there should not be any files directly under /mnt/user. There should only be folders corresponding to each User Share and these should be made of the merge of the top level folders on each physical disk. However if you ever create files at the top level of any disk they would show up directly under /mnt/user. You must have something running on your server, that is creating these files so without knowing which app that is any advice would just be a guess. Quote Link to comment
Squid
Top of my head, they appear to be files from Duplicati. Quote Link to comment
bastl
dup-xxxxxx files are created by duplicati. Check which folders you have mounted in your duplicati docker or which folder you selected in a duplicati client to save your backups in. I bet you've mounted the /mnt/user instead of a sub folder. Big Mike
Thanks for the replys. You're right, they are Duplicati files. I'll check the docker config. Quote Link to comment
