VNC mouse cursor

Featured Replies

On a Windows 10 client machine using VNC in the browser, my mouse cursor always disappears making it really hard to use VNC. Anyone else get this?

If you install the Drivers for GPU/Microsoft driver, the mouse loses it's outline.. the only way I've been able to fix it, go into Control Panel and Mouse, change the icon to a slightly bigger size and it will show the outline and be more visible.

Thanks for the hint but it didn't resolve it for me. Was that a mouse theme you chose or a specific mouse state you increased?

This might be related to the fact I am using a Dell XPS touch screen device. However I found that rather than try to use the popup VNC window, I copy the URL from the address bar of the popup and open a new tab with that URL then the cursor starts working again. Might be useful for someone.

I know it's been a while but I just got this to fix itself in the windows settings - I changed the cursor color from white to black and then back from black to white.  When I made the change back to white the outline was there.

Start > Control Panel > Mouse > Pointers > Select "Windows Inverted (system scheme)" worked for me.
