djrkd
Hi All, A few weeks back I added a SATA Card, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AZ9T3OU/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I/O Crest 4 Port SATA III PCI-e 2.0 x1 Controller Card Marvell 9215 I believe I had plugged in one of my drives into it, and it was stable for a few weeks. Now that I have more capacity for drives - I went ahead and added a cache mirror. After moving some drives around I ended up with some issues. I have most of my dockers shut down, to prevent any parity messups (I Hope) I attempted to do a "New Config" but ended up in the same state. Please help! tower-diagnostics-20190517-2103.zip Quote Link to comment
Frank1940
Marvell SATA controller chips have been a source of problems for the past few years. And the problem is a hit-and-miss one. Basically, the recommendation has been to replace them with LSI based SATA cards. However, in the 6.7.0 release (the latest stable version), there have been several folks who have success with a configuration change to the kernel as it boots up. You can read about it here: https://forums.unraid.net/topic/80001-unraid-os-version-67-available/page/9/?tab=comments#comment-744838 This would require that you upgrade to 6.7.0 but that is sometime you probably will want to do anyway. JorgeB
Disk dropped offline so there's no SMART but it appears to be a connection/controller problem. 5 hours ago, [email protected] said: I attempted to do a "New Config" but ended up in the same state. That's was lucky because a "New config" is not used to rebuild a disabled drive. Quote Link to comment
