Removing my files

Featured Replies

Hi I was trying the software and my trail has expired I am not sure about using the software so I went into windows to remove my files from the server and because the trail expired I can not remove how can I get all my files off the server they are very important thanks for help

The Trial can be extended once to give you an additional 30 days so if you have not already done that I would suggest that is the easiest solution.

Each drive in Unraid is a discrete file system and thus readable in isolation on any system that understands the file system used..    You can to into Linux (a ‘live’ Linux distribution can be used to avoid installing it anywhere) which will have suitable drivers pre-installed and you can then read the disks.

Windows does not have suitable drivers to load the disks directly unless you use specialised recovery software.

Thanks for reply I have used the extra 30 days and using windows I have some very important files I need of there and have not decided if I want to use this software but the files I need for work on Monday

As I said you can boot the server using a Linux ‘live’ distribution off a DVD or USB stick which would allow you to copy the files elsewhere.
