In this case it souldn't cause any issues, safe to ignore, though a bios update might help.

My VMs stutter when I have drives mounted via unassigned devices could it be because of this?

Can't see how, but since the IRQ it's not disabled immediately after a reboot it's easy to test.

How do I test this?

I have run the VM just after reboots and the stuttering still happens, does this mean my issue is something else.

I don't really know what  "irq 16: nobody cared" means. From the "testing" I have done, if I have any drive mounted via unassigned devices the VM stutters, the moment I unmount it, the stuttering goes away.

You can check the log, for example on the diags you posted the array started at around 00:45 and the IRQ got disabled at around 01:05

May 20 01:04:56 Tower kernel: irq 16: nobody cared (try booting with the "irqpoll" option)

So if the VMs are stuttering before this happens again it's not the IRQ.
