Error 43 in device manager Windows 10 after GPU passthrough (Nvidia GTX 1060)

Featured Replies

Dear Unraid community.

After two nuked VMs and countless of valuable lessons in configuring my array, i have one final obstacle to overcome. I have installed and successfully passed through a Nvidia GTX 1060 graphics card in my Unraid VM. The Nvidia drivers are installed and Directx 12 is confirmed as installed. The final obstacle is error 43 that appears in the device manager. So far i have tried to again nuke my VM settings and passthrough the GPU again. Also i have physically reseated the GPU in a different PCI lane.

Any and all input is appreciated. Thanks for reading my post!

Edit: Tried this solution without any resolution: https://egpu.io/forums/expresscard-mpcie-m-2-adapters/script-nvidia-error43-fixer/

With this solution i have a unsigned Nvidia driver and error 52: https://github.com/sk1080/nvidia-kvm-patcher

What am i missing?

Update: I nuked the VMs and got myself a rx 570. From what i understand i can change something in the VM XML file related to a vendorID or so to bypass this and trick the driver, but i believe that is excessive and bad consumer practice.
