write cache and FCP

Featured Replies

I understand that Fix Common Problems has a new test that tests if write cache is on on HD's.  I am running 6.7.0 and I keep getting the notice that FCP has detected the error.  I utilize this:

hdparm -W 0 /dev/sdX  disables write cache

hdparm -W 1 /dev/sdX enables

and 4 of the 4 hard drives show that write cache is enabled, but at some point, 2 of the HD's become disabled again.  I tried enabling, and then rebooting the server to see if the setting sticks and it did, but I am wondering what is triggering the write cache to get turned off again?  I have attached diag files but am unsure if these are the ones needed.
