alinkognito
Hello peps. Sunny greetings. So, my Plex posters, etc was all on my SSD cache drive (which has now gone bye bye). I am looking for a new solution and hoping you can provide some insight. Option 1. 2 x SSD for cache (1 as a cache parity) with Plex pointing to this or Option 2 3 x SSD (2 for unRAID cache, with 1 being a parity) and the 3rd SSD "unmounted" dedicated to Plex alone Thoughts? Thanks. Al Edited May 5, 2023 by alinkognito Grammar Quote Link to comment
itimpi
You omitted an option 3) which is 3 x SSD in cache with half total space used for parity. Not sure if you want any redundancy on the Plex data which Option 2) does not give you. Edited May 24, 2019 by itimpi Quote Link to comment
gtroyp
Not sure about the cache part of the equation, but I have been running Plex on it's own SSD for a long while. I have found it makes the end user experience much snappier. I am looking forward to putting it on a NVMe SSD on my soon-to-be-built upgrade (PCIe4 anyone?). Quote Link to comment
