October 19, 201015 yr I have two of the 5 x 3.5 Icy Dock cages. Right now I'm running a parity check and a 2 or 3 second beep/buzz came from the cage. It then went away. I checked my drives but only 2 are running and showing a temp of 35C. The Icy Docks are set to alarm at 55C. No fan light came on on the outside of the cages. Just curious if anyone has had something similiar happen. Edit: It just happened again and this time I did manage to see that the fan light came on on the front of the case. Not sure why though. If this happens frequently it would be quite annoying.
October 22, 201015 yr Author My Icy Docks Fan went off again. I have no idea what's going on. The temp of the drives are 35C. Also in the manual it indicates if the fan alarm goes off to hit the reset button. I don't see a reset button.
January 22, 201214 yr Old post, but the reset button is just above the HDD4 slot, or second from the right, if the locking arms lever UP when unlocked. It's the button opposite (horizontally) from the fan fail/over heat light. I know this because my buzzer is sounding off, too.
