Hi folks

 

Still not got round to building my monster unraid server yet although I have the components sitting here waiting!  However, in anticipation I've been looking at music streaming devices, and am considering the Squeezebox Touch.  I'm told that I need to have squeezebox server running, probably a silly question but can I have it running on my unraid server?

 

Any help would be appreciated

Yes it can be done (do a search in the customization section) but it can be finiky to get working properly.

Thanks, I'll do a search.  Hmm if it's finicky though, wonder if I'd be better sticking to something like a Sonos?

I would install SS on unRAID and get the cheapest iPad and run iPeng on it. Much much better than any Sonos.. and much more open.

I managed to move my Squeezebox server from an Ubuntu environment, onto unRAID, without too much trouble.
