m2 inaccessible on PCIE adapter?

Recommended Posts

So.. upgraded unraid from 6.6.7 to 6.7.0 and got the following 12 hours later

Quote

BTRFS error (device nvme0n1p1): bdev /dev/nvme0n1p1 errs: wr 52, rd 788, flush 0, corrupt 0, gen 0

I've got a WD Black M2 drive that sits on a PCIE adapter (unassigned device). I shut the server down, re-seated the drive on the adapter and then moved PCIE slots and it came back...

Because I changed 2 things at once (in interest of getting it back online fast) ... I'm not sure which thing fixed it. I'd guess re-seating the drive on the adapter.

It's just odd, because the box has been running fine for weeks with no changes prior. And that M2 drive / adapter had been fine for over a year, even transferred it to this server a few months ago. It also gives me temp warnings on that drive now.

What does that error tell you, if anything?
