casperse
Hi All HELP! I did a shutdown and a reboot with GUI and now I get this; I can connect using putty? and I did make some standard backup (Video guide) but I have no clue on how to get it restores without a UI? Best regards Casperse UPDATE I have also access to the flash drive through SAMBA (Other drives is not there because they need to be mounted through the UI (Encryption) So if I need access to the backup I need to start the array through the terminal and somehow type the password? casperse
I have created a new USB boot and replaced the config folder with the one I can access from the old drive? Would it be safe to try to boot from this USB? or is that a no go? Quote Link to comment

casperse
I am getting really worried now! 1) Booting in safemode same thing no UI Webservice 2) Creating a new USB and copying the config folder to that new USB and booting from it same problem? Could I end up loosing all my data? I have the encryption password and should be able to decrypt even if I need to start with a brand new fresh install of Unraid right? Telnet works, and because I have manuel startup of the array I can only access the Flash from Samba... I do have backups scheduled but since they are on a encrypted array that I cannot start, I am not able to access my backup (Need to correct that in the future) Update: Created unraid support request..... itimpi
Just a word of re-assurance to say your data should be safe. Each array disk under Unraid is a self-contained File System that in the worst case can easily be read on any Linux System. It might be worth recreating your USB stick WITHOUT copying over the config folder and see if the GUI boots OK. The only thing to copy initially would be the Unraid license file. That would at least prove that you have some sort of problem in one of your config files and a careful process of elimination should allow the culprit to be identified. Whatever you do, do NOT attempt to do anything like format a disk as that would wipe its contents. Quote Link to comment
limetech
The problem is that nginx (the http server) is crashing: Jun 10 18:18:53 PLEXZONE emhttpd: shcmd (26): /etc/rc.d/rc.nginx start Jun 10 18:18:53 PLEXZONE root: unable to load certificate Jun 10 18:18:53 PLEXZONE root: 22497627080512:error:0909006C:PEM routines:get_name:no start line:crypto/pem/pem_lib.c:745:Expecting: TRUSTED CERTIFICATE Jun 10 18:18:53 PLEXZONE root: Starting Nginx server daemon... Next from console/telnet type the command "diagnostics" - you will see that it creates a file on your flash in the 'logs' directory. Please post that file. limetech
Not sure the exact issue but something is wrong with your SSL cert. This is not included in diags (obviously) but should be on the flash in config directory: config/ssl/certs named either certificate_bundle.pem or PLEXZONE_unraid_bundle.pem. I suggest you delete any pem files (or rename them to different extension) you find there and then edit the file config/ident.cfg. Find the line that say: USE_SSL="auto" change to: USE_SSL="no" Now your server webGUI should answer up at PLEXZONE.local or use it's IP address. Next you can go to Settings/Management Access and re-enable https (set back to Auto) and let it download a new LetsEncrypt cert. Quote Link to comment

To the reason why this happens after a perfect "powerdown"... One reason might be a breaking change in the Unifi controller (If this is the case then I need to keep it without SSL, for the time being) See my other post with the Unifi fix to get SSL working in Unraid (Warning to other people using the Unifi home network, last Unifi update might break your Unraid from booting?)
