you dont have permission to rename

Featured Replies

I keep getting this weird message, it is really random because sometime I can't rename a folder, but if i try again in like 2 mins there is no problem.

I tried in the user share and in the disk share, same in both.

Shares are in write / read export and with my user as valid user.

I forgot im Using a MAC and trying to rename the folders via Finder .

Thanks

Could the disk be sleeping, and the error message a "generic" one that is misinterpreting a timeout while waiting for the disk to spin up as a permissions issue?

I don't think so because so far all the files are being allocated in disk1, so i can rename some folders, and for other i get this permission message. But all the files and folder are in Disk1, so I am sure that the Disk wasn't sleeping.
