Featured Replies

Hello I have two 3 TB harddrives and one 4 TB parity disk... But Unraid shows me only 2.2 TB capacity in the overview tab ... But But ;) the smart report says the right size( 3,3,4 TB).... My filesystem is xfs. What can I do ?

Not sure what you mean by the 'Overview' tab?   Perhaps providing a screen shot showing this would make in clearer.

I mean this... grafik.thumb.png.299b887d9d05b5a5279f326b90082764.png

Looks like your hard drive controller is limiting the size of the disks. Post diagnostics.

This is my diagnostics... " Looks like your hard drive controller is limiting the size of the disks."But in the smart report, it shows me the right capacity :grafik.png.4eb39aea274a5cec21f132f9120b4d3b.png
Without looking at the diagnostics many older controllers only support drives up to 2.2G and will cap the storage at that. Smart will always show what the drive reports

So give it any controller PCI-card for that?

Can you look in the diagnostics please if its right?

1st gen LSI SAS controllers only support up to 2TB, you need SAS2 or SAS3 for >2TB support.

So my SATA controller only supports 2.2TB?

Can you recommend any controller ?

Any LSI with a SAS2008/2308/3008 chipset in IT mode, e.g., 9201-8i, 9211-8i, 9207-8i, 9300-8i, etc and clones, like the Dell H200/H310 and IBM M1015, these latter ones need to be crossflashed.
