Can't install Ubuntu Server in a VM -- Installer won't let me choose the disk to install

Featured Replies

I'm trying to install Ubuntu into a VM and having a heck of a time figuring out how.  When I get partway through the installer, I'm showing the virtual disk I created of 5GB in size, but it's greyed out and I can't select it. What the heck is going on?  What am I doing wrong?

OMFG, that was the issue.  I made it 10GB and it works.

I wish the installer would be clearer why that disk was disabled. Thanks for your help :)
