6.7.0 - Parity sync, suddenly extremely slow

Featured Replies

Hello all,

Normally my parity check takes about 20 hours to complete. I have 2 parity disks, each 4TB. I run parity check each week.

The history of the parity check can be seen below:

However, 3 weeks ago or something like that, my parity sync seems to take very long, more than a week.

The current parity check operation can be seen below:

I don't know what have caused this issue, so any help is appreciated.

I've attached the diagnostics log here:

IRQ 17 (used by yout Highpoint controllers) for whatever reason got disabled, with the result that hard drive access became very slow.  Rebooting is your only temporary fix.

You can try movng stuff around on the motherboard, bios updates, etc.

Thank you very much, Squid. That did actually solve my problem:

I'm amazed that restarting a unix server actually solved the problem, never thought I should experience such a day :)

Just hope I won't need to restart the server too often... :/
