ank0m
Hello unRAID community, 1st time unRAID user on board. For years I've been working on Synology systems but now I need a more flexible solution. Why did I choose unRAID? Originally I wanted to run my storage systems with FreeNAS, but due to the inflexible expandability of storage, the only logical decision was to take the step to unRAID. So, here I am \o/ Within the next days I have all components together to assemble my two unRAID servers. One serves acts as backup system, the other one becomes my main storage system and iSCSI target for my VMs/Container which I have on a separate system (Proxmox). Since I plan to make my on-site backup at night, the backup unRAID server does not need to run permanently. Is it possible to boot the backup unRAID server via WOL (triggered by a cron job, or similar from the main storage system)? If yes, how do I configure this on the main storage system? Thank you in advance. Greetings from Germany, Frank Quote Link to comment
