June 17, 20197 yr So Im now a member of the TR club It works great aside from the ram, which I cant get to go above 2933mhz Mobo is asrock x399 taichi, ram is g.skill trident z 3200 mhz cl14 4 x 16gb Does anyone have any tips on how to get this to work at 3200mhz? Cheers
June 17, 20197 yr Why? For a storage server, stability beats a tiny bit of performance gain going from 2933 to 3200.

Going to agree with him there- anything over stock 2667 has a much larger chance of causing stability issues and possibly data corruption. Even XMP profiles rarely work as expected.
June 20, 20197 yr That ram should have no issues at that speed, I memtested mine for a week and has been flawless for 18 months.

Do you have 4x16GB sticks running at 3200MHz? What processor are you rocking? Thanks in advance. I'm currently struggling with which RAM to pickup for my new build... The b-die stuff is pretty pricy relative to the CL16 stuff. I may be stressing too much about all this.
June 21, 20197 yr This is my build below, has all the details, but yes that's the memory spec I'm running with a 1950x, no CPU overclock. What's the actual kit code of your memory? Did you get a 64GB kit or 2x 32GB? As that can impact speeds sometimes.
June 22, 20197 yr I haven't pulled the trigger yet, but was contemplating gambling a little and buying two kits of this: https://www.newegg.com/g-skill-32gb-288-pin-ddr4-sdram/p/N82E16820232218
