I guess I should wait for the cache drive to be empty but, other than that, is it just a matter of changing the drive assignment in unraid main / devices? Exactly correct. You might want to un-assign it, then pre-clear it, then assign it as a data drive. Otherwise unRAID will clear it, and your array will be off-line while it does the clearing step. With the pre-clear script, you'll be able to use the array during its clear of the drive. Joe L.
