October 23, 201015 yr when i copied all my data over to my server it automatically made shares for each folder. rather than having a seperate movie/tv/music/pic shares id rather have them in a media share so i can link it to my popcorn hour easier? can i just create a new share called media and then drag all the other shares into it or will that make duplicates of all my data? thx
October 23, 201015 yr I would go to the disk shares, and create a folder called "media", then move the various folders into that folder. From there, you can go into user shares and delete the old ones. You might not even have to.
October 23, 201015 yr Author id like to make all my media span across all 3 of my data disks. i had to setup the server 1 disc at a time so all my tv shows are on one disk and all my movies are on another. the 3rd disk is currenty empty? whats the best way to do this
October 24, 201015 yr Create a folder called Media at the root of each disk share. So if you go to disk1, it should be: Media Movies Disk2 could be: Media Television Disk3 could be: Media Music Photos If you use the high water or most free method, it will automatically create matching folders when you add new material. So if you add a new movie, and disk3 has the most available space, then it would become: Media Movies New Movie Music Photos
October 24, 201015 yr Author i just created a new share called videos and created shortcuts to the tv/movies/adult shares in the video share. now i can direct myihome to the videos share and they all show on the popcorn hour. thx
