Fix Common Problems Extended Log

Featured Replies

New to Unraid and this is what I get when running the extended test on Fix Common Problems. Not sure how to fix these errors. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

The following user shares will be excluded from the permissions tests:

/mnt/user/appdata

Processing /mnt/user/appdata
Processing /mnt/user/backups
Processing /mnt/user/domains
Processing /mnt/user/isos
Processing /mnt/user/Media
Processing /mnt/user/nextcloud
Processing /mnt/user/system
Processing /mnt/user/.Trash-99

The following directories exist with similar names, only differing by the 'case' which will play havoc with Windows / SMB access.  Windows does NOT support folder names only differing by their case and strange results will happen should you attempt to manipulate the folders or files

/mnt/user/Media/Movies/Predator
/mnt/user/Media/Movies/PREDATOR
/mnt/user/Media/Tv Shows
/mnt/user/Media/TV Shows

The following files exist within the same folder on more than one disk.  This duplicated file means that only the version on the lowest numbered disk will be readable, and the others are only going to confuse unRaid and take up excess space:

/mnt/user/Media/Movies/Spider-Man_Homecoming/Spider-Man_Homecoming_t06.mkv   disk2 disk3
/mnt/user/Media/Movies/Star_Trek_Into_Darkness/Star_Trek_Into_Darkness_t00.mkv   disk1 disk2
/mnt/user/Media/Movies/Terminator_Genisys/Terminator_Genisys_t00.mkv   disk1 disk3
/mnt/user/Media/Movies/The_Force_Awakens_-_BLU-RAY/The_Force_Awakens_-_BLU-RAY_t00.mkv   disk2 disk3
/mnt/user/Media/Movies/The_Mummy/The_Mummy_t00.mkv   disk2 disk3
/mnt/user/Media/Movies/The_Phantom_Menace/The_Phantom_Menace_t01.mkv   disk2 disk3

The following files / folders may not be accessible to the users allowed via each Share's SMB settings.  This is often caused by wrong permissions being used on new downloads / copies by CouchPotato, Sonarr, and the like:

/mnt/user/Media/Tv Shows/Heros/Season 2/Heros s02e11.mkv  nobody/users (99/100)  0600
/mnt/user/nextcloud  nobody/users (99/100)  0770
/mnt/user/nextcloud/nextcloud.log  nobody/users (99/100)  0640
/mnt/user/.Trash-99  nobody/users (99/100)  0700

Directories Scanned: 66561  Files Scanned: 129538

So I've had basically all of these issues at one point or another in my Fix Common Problems extended tests.

  • For the first problem of the shares with different cases, you should check all of your docker container settings and see if you have a differing case there. You will likely need to use dolphin or krusader to move the files to the proper share before deleting the one with the wrong case
  • For the duplicated file, go into the user share and delete the duplicate file.
  • For the final issue, run the docker safe new permissions process in tools.
  • 7 months later...

Hello

etc

All duplicated files seems to be on disk4 disk6.

All duplicate files are bluray rips, (FOLDER/BDMV structure) with way to much files.

Is there a way to check that both BDMV Folders (on both disk4 and disk6) are identical and not missing any files so i cant delete one of them?

Should i delete the BDMV Folders stored on the Disk 6?

(This duplicated file means that only the version on the lowest numbered disk will be readable..)
