High Disk Utilization on 1 drive

Featured Replies

I have a 6 disk array (1 parity drive)

All shares are using High-Water. Drive 1 is constantly going over the 70% utilization threshold, when other drives are no where near that.

Is there any to even out the data load across the drives?

/dev/md1 1.9T 1.3T 633G 67% /mnt/disk1
/dev/md2 1.9T 1.4T 522G 72% /mnt/disk2
/dev/md3 1.9T 1.1T 749G 60% /mnt/disk3
/dev/md4 1.9T 1.1T 783G 58% /mnt/disk4
/dev/md5 1.9T 918G 945G 50% /mnt/disk5

All 2 TB drives, so each drive will first be filled to 50%  After that, disk 1 will get filled to 75% then 2 to 75%, etc   Based on the usage right now, there doesn't appear to be anything wrong.

Use "Most Free" will even it out over time as you add and remove contents from the array.
