I just build my unraid server about a week ago and yesterday I do my SSD. Once I added the SSD and changed the "Used Disk Cache" to only. Got everything moved over to the cache drive and they still show unprotected. I even ran a complete parity, went in via console and ssh and the files all all on the cache drive. I am stumped on why they are still showing unprotected. I have ran CA User Scripts and CA Fix and everything as it should.

I think you might be misunderstanding how the cache drive works. The cache drive is generally intended to provide faster, unprotected storage for things that need snappy storage - in many cases things like virtual disks, or possibly appdata

If you want items protected, they need to be on the array. If you want them fast, on the cache.

You can certainly probably use a tool to make backups of your cache to the array, which is what most people likely do.

Holy crap that makes complete since. I only use the cache drive for transfer files faster to the array since my movie library took hours because it dropped to 25mb

You can also add another cache drive and have them in RAID1. That way you will see those share as protected. Or do as Delarius says and back all those share on the array. SpaceinvaderOne make good videos of this. Or total paranoia = 2 cachedrive RAID1 and backup those shares to array :)
