2-drive cache failure resurrection help

Featured Replies

Hi -

I am running unraid on a Dell 710, and I have cache pool 3 NVME drives running on 2 PCI cards, and then 2 Samsung SSD drives running off of the internal SATA ports (usually allocated for the optical drive).   I was using the power to the two SSD drives off of the former optical cable power leg.

Today I received a slew of errors and lost my Plex docker along with a number of other items.   I performed a system shut down and upon reboot, I noticed that the 2 SSD drives did not show up in the cache pool.   Needless to say, I shut the system back down, switched over to external power for the 2 SSD cache drives and they are now back - as unassigned devices.

I shut down the array to attempt to add them back to the cache array, and the show up also as historical devices.

My cache pool says that it is: unmountable disk present - and the option is Format.

My question is: have I destroyed the cache pool and need to format it to permit it's use, or are their steps I can take to have the pool "recall" the two drives that lost power and not their data?

Please let me know if there are any workarounds to fix this, or if I need to provide additional information.

Thank you in advance.
