June 29, 20197 yr I am trying to add some new hard drives to my server to replace the ones that are going bad but for some reason the hard drives are not showing up in Unassigned Devices I bought three different hard drives and the third one I bought is the same brand as all the rest of the hard drives in this server but it’s still not showing up for me to pre-clear the only way the drives pop up is if I load them in a usb dock station anyone have any suggestions what should I do ps I have the pro tower-diagnostics-20190701-1307.zip Edited July 1, 20197 yr by Jmoney
June 29, 20197 yr Without diagnostics, I'd guess that they are WD drives and have the 3.3V issue https://forums.unraid.net/topic/73717-solutions-shucked-wd-8tb-easystore-33v-pin-issue/ If that's not it, then diagnostics are basically required. (And if the BIOS even recognizes them when directly attached)
June 30, 20197 yr Author yes all are WD just bought two Seagate exos but they didn't work so i got the wd red and that didn't work i tried the tape thing didn't work so what about the diagnostics whats that i'm new to this
