buffer needs to work cause otherwise VPN is obsolete, may check r/w permissions on your buffer location in case u mounted it outside the container /tmp/xteve

i ll take a look at the update error, but that shouldnt disturb any function for now.

this is what I get with the buffer on. and nothing plays

 Error with this URL: http://sync1.iptv.bingo/live/3635?u=1829248&s=6e437a592dca0e4ad1ae976c13d755029a7e79dd801c787f7bbc0784c9b0edb6

I can get into the cil of the docker and shows the ip where the vpn is

@H2O_King89

i tested it now myself through, actually its not VPN related, its buffer related, the stream also doesnt work with regular xteve without buffer ...

suggestion, u prolly have a link to grab your m3u, may try by adding

&type=m3u_plus&output=ts

like described on their iptv setup video too, should become a more compliant m3u then, please test this and let me know.

The m3u is a file I got from them and have it in the /config

I can get this setup working with the normal xteevee with out issue and just thought it be best to have a VPN in use

Another weird thing is the xml. When I put the link in it's https but give a 509 error I think. But if I remove the s "http" it works.

Again this all works fine even the https xml with the normal docker. I'll try to trouble shoot some more when I get home. Thank you.

I got buffering to some how.

This is what I get for xml error when using ssl port

Get https://iptv.memorial/EPG.xml: x509: certificate signed by unknown authority

2019/11/26 16:20:25 [xTeVe] [ERROR] Get https://iptv.memorial/EPG.xml: x509: certificate signed by unknown authority () - EC: 0

ok, after some digging ...

in xteve settings buffer useragent will make the stream working here, seems your provider is blocking ...

VLC/3.0.8 LibVLC/3.0.8

about the https error still togo, but to grab the xml and play the streams, replace https with http, worked here at least for now.

Any chance of getting Xteve VPN with Guide2go. I use the Xteve Guide2go Image and sure would like to have everything running though my PIA vpn.

I use a Antenna as well as IPTV and the Guide2Go handles my Antenna program. Thanks

actually its not planned as i also provide a pure guide2go docker and fetching from SD through VPN, i didnt thought anyone would prefer this. if there are more requests i ll add it or redesign the vpn one with always in ;)

Hey, thanks for the brilliant work. I've run the docker on a synology NAS and it works fantiastically well. The only thing that I cannot figure out (forgive me I'm new to this) is how to enter my PIA VPN credentials so that xteve connects via my VPN. Thanks in advance for any help.

from the docker info readme

xteve, in docker with ovpn

### docker runs in bridge mode ###

put your ovpn file in /config

edit your ovpn credentials in /config

set your LOCAL_NET to fit your netmask

access xteve webui ip:34400/web/

you should have a logindata.conf in your /config folder to add username and password, where also your ovpn files are placed

as there where no changes and im also getting a error when using vlc now with this url i assume your provider changed something (allowed user agent, ...), sorry, but this seems out of scope here to handle.

Unauthorized is a error from your link (html usually 403 forbidden), can be different causes, link broken, user broken, limit reached, user agent, ...

as this is more xteve related then this docker, u can try to get help at the xteve discord channel or the xteve github, may start xteve with debug=3 option to get better informations

Thank you for your help. I've been trying to follow the instructions. but I cannot access the files you've shown above. I downloaded the docker file using the app built into the Synology NAS. The only variable/options it offers are in the screen shot below. I have an OpenVPN file but am unable to access the config folder to place it in there. If anyone has experience in running this on a Synology NAS I'd be grateful for your help.

as this is the unraid forum, please rather join the xteve discord channel and ask there for other OS support, thanks
