hello,

actually i have the following:

- Fractal Node 804
- BeQuiet Pure Power 10 - 400w
- Intel i7-7700 (non-K)
- Noctua cooler
- 64GB RAM (NON-ECC)
- ASUS Q270M-C
- Samsung 970 evo nvme 1tb
- 4 x WD Red 10 TB
- Dual Intel NIC

i have the problem, i wanted to install a 8-port hba sata controller and a quad-port-nic instead of the dual-nic and i saw, the board has only 1 x pcie 16x slot and so i cant do what i wanna do.

so now i am struggling if i should buy a new board, found some rly good - there is only 1 bad thing about this board. https://www.supermicro.com/en/products/motherboard/X11SSH-LN4F

i could use my cpu, my ram, install the max number of sata hdds i can install in the case - but the pcie nvme slot is only pcie x2 not x4 as my ssd is.

now i think about just buy this and maybe i buy a pcie-addon-card to install the ssd on (idk if this works) or should i go for more cores / threads if i switch to a new mobo?

thanks for hel
