Due to a happy glitch I ended up getting a really good deal on 2 10TB reds. I was only going to add one to my 5 4TB drives that are now over 80% utilized.

 

So now that I have 2, should I leave one on and unassigned after preclear or swap out one of the 4TBs and let it rebuild? Let me know what you think. Thanks all.

Neither. Test it, put it back in a secure spot out of the server. If you have a failure, use it as a replacement. If you run out of space, deal with that then. No point in racking up hours on a drive that's not being used.
