Installing HP Agentless management service?

Featured Replies

Hi all!

Just wondering if anyone had any success in installing the "HP Agentless Management Service" on unraid? I have two HP microservers, one with Windows baremetal and one with Unraid and because Unraid doesn't have the managementservice it really kicks up the fan to a annoying level (hot right now but 20% fan on Windows, 60% on Unraid.)

HP have got the software on their site but only for Redhat, would it be possible to install that on Unraid in some way?

Best regards,

Patrik

I am really interested in that if you managed to do this on your MicroServer. I'm stuck now with the same problem.

Definitely possible there are linux drivers but ofc needs to be patched onto slackware would be hugely beneficial for monitoring disks and would make many peoples servers run much quieter. Just upgraded my licence for my ML350P G8

So i have managed to compile the kernel with the hpilo in... using the unraid kernel helper and changing the script as described in this post

so far i have managed to get a docker with access to /dev to run the ubuntu version of ams but i dont think it had access to the drives as it didnt seem to transfer all the data
