Win10 vm unable access unraid shares

Featured Replies

Unlike some of the threads I've seen where a vm is unable to access a share. I have two win10 vm's, one can access shares, the unraid server webpage & the internet. The other can only access the internet. I've been running unraid for a few years but am still a novice. Ive tried doing things in dockers but couldn't get them to work. so win10 vm's is what I use. The both have norton internet security, like my real win10 pc's have. I've tried turning it off, makes no difference. It also has a vpn, again turning it off makes no difference to being able to access shares etc. I'm at a loss & need some help.

Thanks

Bernard

In the VM that doesn't work, try typing win-r to bring up the run box, and enter \\192.168.1.87 and see what happens.

You say you have tried turning off norton, have you tried temporarily uninstalling it completely?

I have tried turning it off, haven’t tried uninstalling it. I’ll give it a go, it’s not quick.

Norton is off & it can browse shares, but still can’t access server webpage? It’s not like Norton was a new install, had been on for over 100 days! I’ll leave it off for a couple of days & then reinstall it.

Thanks for your help
