(SOLVED) Boot Up Issue

Featured Replies

Been using unraid for a long time and very much enjoy it.

Here is the issue. I wanted to start over, I tinker a lot and was looking for a fresh install. I downloaded the USB tool and followed the directions. Never changed anything on the BIOS of the server, just a fresh start. When I went to boot up I get the blinking cursor of death ...

So I tried to download the zip and install it that way. Same thing. I tried two other thumb drives, same results. That little cursor blinking ... laughing at me.

I have a Dell r710 and put all three thumbs in there. UNRAID splash screen popped right up after POST. Okay, the drives are working.

I'm at my wits end ...  Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Here is the system info:

Motherboard = ZTSYSTEM A9DRPF-10D Vr. TBD
2 Intel Xeon E5-2650 @ 2.00 Ghz
48 Gib DDR3 Multi-bit ECC

I have tried every combination with this, that is available to me. I just don't understand why it will not boot when it did before?

GOT IT!

Thank you for the advice. Had to pull the batt, reset the mb and wham ... it works!

A little more insight on this issue. For some reason the mb was trying to boot from my ssd instead of the usb thumb. I had to set the usb option on the thumb drive to HardDrive. It now boots up fine.
