October 31, 201015 yr Anyone know why these 2 have different sizes? The WD is jumpered. I would guess I wouldn't be able to use the smaller drive as parity drive even though both are 1.5tb.
October 31, 201015 yr One has an HPA. The other does not. You have a GigaByte motherboard, or used the smaller drive in a PC that has a Gigabyte MB previously.
October 31, 201015 yr Author That's what it is. I used the hard drive with a gigabyte board previously. I guess my only concern now is if this will be an issue? My unraid box uses a ECS A780GM board and if I have no plans of using it as a parity drive, should I give this drive any additional thought?

It is no issue then, other than it being a tiny bit smaller.
