Data Rebuild stuck around 26MB/s

Featured Replies

I have 2 Hitachi HUS723030ALS640 3TB drives and when running anything else besides parity rebuild I can get about 150MB/s from each disk read and write. When I try to rebuild the parity (using the drive as the parity drive) with one of these drives the speed is stuck at 26MB/s and will not go any higher.

I have tried using a different disk (a seagate disk) and it will parity sync about around 110MB/s

Is there some issues wit unraid and these disks? I am not sure what is going on here...

Go to Tools-diagnostics and attach the complete Diagnostics zip file to your next post.

Write cache for both parity disks is disabled, you should be able to turn it on with:

hdparm -W1 /dev/sdX

Might go back to default after a reboot.

I believe that fixed my issue. as soon as I enabled it it jumped from 26MB/s to 173 MB/s 😃
