August 3, 20196 yr Community Expert If you have never set it the value of the Minimum Free Space for the cache drive is 0. This trips up many new users who do not realise the purpose of this setting (particularly on new system where a lot of data is being copied). I would suggest that defaulting it to something sensible would make the New User experience more likely to go well. This automated setting would only take effect if the setting is currently 0, and the User should be given a Notification of the value chosen when it is auto-set. The User can always then manually choose a small non-zero value if they want to get current behaviour back. Not sure what would be a good default, but first thoughts are the larger of something like 80GB or 10% of the cache size might be sensible? Anyone have any suggestions for what they think is a sensible default? the same idea could probably be applied to User Shares, but they seem to encounter this type of issue less frequently based on forum posts.
