Can a VM connect to the internet by a virtual connection to another VM?

Hi,

 

i have two VM's (VM1 and VM2) both are linux based. Is it possible to make a setup where VM1 has a normal connection to the internet via the virtual network adapter and a second network adapter. VM2 is only connected to the second network adapter from VM1. So VM1 can be used to control the internet of VM2 or as a TOR Proxy or something like that.

 

Maybe there is a tutorial or some hints how this could be work?
