My apologies if this is a repeat - I'm looking to set up my own rack mount unraid server - I have a stack of spare 2tb and 5tb 3.5 sata hard drives (8 in total) that I want to stick in an old Dell poweredge server (plentiful and cheap on eBay)

 

My concern is that some of the posts I've read say the poweredge servers only support X amount of storage - and I obviously want to stick at least 28tb of storage space in this pig

 

Can someone set me straight
