Old server gone, in with the new!

Featured Replies

Question is .... can I move my existing flash drive as-is to my new server and just power up or does it need to be reset in some way. Obviously everything has changed, disks, hardware etc. How do I do this?

Normally you can just plugin and go.     If you have VMs with hardware pass-through they will need adjusting to fit the new hardware configuration.

Thanks.

That's what i was hoping for.

There's not much can go wrong but wasn't sure whether the  existing 'old' flash key needed to be reset at all.

What will happen to the old config on there already, any idea?

UnRAID is hardware agnostic so everything should remain configured exactly as it was.    The license is tied to the USB GUID, not to the hardware that is running Unraid so it is unaffected by switching systems.
