FallingSloth
I have a ubuntu server vm that is stuck at the grub command line on boot. From there I can see both partitions and view a list of folders on each partition. I mounted the vdisk into a desktop ubuntu vm and it shows up as a blank disk (all unallocated space). How can this be fixed, at least to the point where I can grab a couple of scripts off of the vdisk? Quote Link to comment
testdasi
Perhaps install a fresh Ubuntu server on a different vdisk and see if you can mount the broken Ubuntu vdisk as a secondary disk? Edited August 13, 2019 by testdasi Quote Link to comment
FallingSloth
I mounted it in a different ubuntu vm as a second disk, it shows up as 100% unallocated. Quote Link to comment
JonathanM
Make a copy of the image, and use testdisk from https://www.cgsecurity.org/ Quote Link to comment
