como
I've spent a few hours poking around this and that, but I'm missing some very core/basic things here, and I think it could be solved best by having a few unraid users to chat with. Primary interests? hardware, for now. I'll be in the IRC channel whenever I'm infront of a computer for the next week or so, and if it picks up I'll add it to my permanent autojoin. Info from the wiki: Using the web chat client If you do not have a IRC client joining could not be simpler using a web browser (java required) * Go to: http://irc.netsplit.de/webchat/?net=OFTC&room=%23unraid * Enter a nickname for yourself (try to use your forum nickname) * Click start web applet. * And that's you in. Using a traditional IRC client Channel Location * Server: irc.oftc.net * Channel: #unraid Channel Mantra * A place to discuss unRAID in all its glory. * A place to discuss Linux and Slackware in general. * A place for support, ideas et al Channel Rules * Absolutely no flames, abuse or other inflammatory speech. * No bots, flooding or other IRC shenanigans. * Be patient. * Thank people that help you. * If in doubt ask a channel OP http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php?title=IRC_Channel Link to comment
Userpaul
I looked for irc when I first started using the forums, I'm sure somewhere it says the irc channel is closed due to lack of interest? Link to comment
NAS
I set it up before. Lurked for a month and got one or two visitors for as few minutes. unRAID users dont seem to be IRC users Link to comment
tatorsalad
I like the Idea. I am giving it try since Monday - so far no visitors except me. I'll hang around cause I'm connected to IRC anyway. You're welcome to join. Greetings, tatorsalad Link to comment
