November 2, 201015 yr I must be searching the forum with the wrong key words. I keep getting search results for the Norco 4220, but that is rackmount only. I am looking for a tower that will support 20 drives. Recommendations? Thanks
November 2, 201015 yr The Lian Li PC-A77 is the one you should have a look at. Supports 4 5in3 cages like the Supermicro M35T. Cheers, Chris
November 2, 201015 yr Also the Antec 1200. This one and the Lian Li above are the two best options. The reason you keep finding the Norco 4220 is that it is much cheaper than building your own 20 drive server. Even though it is rackmountable, you don't have to rackmount it. You can run it on it's side so that it takes up close to the same amount of room as a regular tower (OK, it is still MUCH longer and heavier). That's what I did before I sold mine.
November 2, 201015 yr I have just purchased this one ..Sharkoon Rebel 12 Economy Black Tower Computer Case for £68. very please with it. http://www.scan.co.uk/products/rebel-12-economy-edition-black-11x-525-1x-35-drive-bay-%28external%29-6x-35-hdd-screwless-mounting I saw this case being used in the "pimp your rig" section, have a read through the whole post it's a great way to start off with unRAID.

Hey, that's mine! Here's the post: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=2031.msg73565#msg73565 You should find the case easy to buy in Europe, but I don't think anyone has found one in the U.S. If you use 3in3 or other 1:1 5.25" to 3.5" bay adapters, you can fit 18 drives in the case. Using 4in3 adapters like the Scythe or Coolermasters, you can fit 22 drives. With 5in3 hotswap adapters, it will take 26 drives. In theory.
November 3, 201015 yr I plan to buy this tower for my build (if I can finally find the time to start) http://www.nexustek.nl/NXS-Nexus_EDGE_full_tower_case_with_noise_absorption_foam.htm Will take 9x 3.5" and 9x 5.25" 9 top slot has a bracket for 3.5". So with 3x 4in3 you have a total of 21 drives.
